Alexander Usvitskiy, who earned his bachelor’s degree from HSE ICEF (class of 2013) and his PhD from Florida State University (class of 2019), embarked on his teaching career at ICEF this past September. Here’s how these few months unfolded for Alexander as teacher, how he feels about his student years, and what projects he is working on today.

Zeeshan Haider, 25, comes from Quetta, Pakistan. He is a first-year Master’s student of ‘Science of Learning and Assessment’ at the HSE Institute of Education. Recognising the importance of this field, Owen John Havercroft Reyes, a recent graduate of International Business at the University of Sheffield, enrolled as a first-year master’s student and became an international ambassador at HSE University-St Petersburg. A school focusing on the digitalisation of public administration for civil servants from African countries was held in Moscow in December 2023.
