HSE Hosts Korean Language Olympiad
With the support of the Korean Fund, HSE’s School of Asian Studies held the Third All-Russian Student Olympiad for the Korean Language on May 12-13. This year, the Olympiad saw the participation of 29 students from 20 Russian universities in Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Far East. Kseniya Andryuschenko, who was one of two students representing the Higher School of Economics’ School of Asian Studies, took third place at the competition.

On May 12, 2014, a Youth Day took place in Seoul, South Korea as part of the Fifth Clean Energy Ministerial. Anastasia Edelkina, Research Fellow of the ISSEK Foresight Centre, represented Russia at the meeting of young scientists from 16 countries.

On April 16, 2014, an international conference ‘School Choice and School Differentiation in Comparative Perspective’ ended in St. Petersburg. The HSE Holds a Meeting with University of Turin Leadership
The leadership of the HSE and the faculties recently held a meeting with a delegation from the University of Turin. The participants discussed opportunities for cooperation between the universities, and agreed that the University of Turin would become one of the main international partners of the recently established International Laboratory of Law and Development at the HSE.
The HSE First Spring Ball at Izmailovo Kremlin
On April 12, 2014 the first HSE spring ball, organized by HSE students from the Faculty of Economics, took place at the Izmailovo Kremlin. About 150 elegantly dressed young ladies and gentlemen danced the waltz and Polonaise, Quadrilles and other ballroom classics.
